Collection note: Open Exchange Rates provides the latest hourly publication, not a retrospective intraday series on the free plan. This dashboard builds the day’s trend by retaining one observation for each UAE clock hour. The website captures while it is open, but the hourly cron request is still required for uninterrupted collection when nobody is viewing the site. Earlier hours from before collection started cannot be reconstructed from the free Open Exchange plan.

Reference comparison

Frankfurter comparison adjustment

Add points to every matched EUR/AED reference observation before comparing it with the actual purchase rate. One point equals 0.0001, so 200 points adds 0.0200.

Adjustment: 200 points = +0.0200 AED per EUR. Example: 4.1800 + 0.0200 = 4.2000.

Understand the guide

Simple definitions so visitors can use the dashboard without becoming part-time currency traders.

Reference rate vs. bank quote

Open Exchange Rates and Frankfurter values are informational benchmarks, not amounts you can transact at. Banks and exchange houses apply their own spreads, margins and fees.

30-session average

This smooths recent Frankfurter observations. A lower or higher result only describes historical positioning and does not predict the next rate.

Volatility

Volatility estimates how widely the rate has moved. Higher volatility means a larger timing risk, not a guaranteed direction.

Independent educational publisher

Euro Trend Guide uses Open Exchange Rates for current EUR/AED, EUR/USD and AED/PHP references and Frankfurter for daily history and other currency context. It does not sell currencies, execute transactions or connect visitors to a broker.

Are the displayed reference rates transaction quotes?

No. Open Exchange Rates and Frankfurter provide informational reference values. A bank, exchange house, card provider or remittance service will supply its own transaction rate, spread and fees.

Why can the reference date be earlier than today?

Frankfurter provides the latest available reference observation. On weekends and holidays, the newest available date may be the preceding business day.

How are the three current pairs handled?

Current EUR/AED, EUR/USD and AED/PHP come from the secure Open Exchange Rates endpoint. Historical values remain based on Frankfurter daily observations; historical AED/PHP is derived from Frankfurter EUR/PHP and EUR/AED for the same reference date.

Does “below average” mean the rate will improve?

No. It only describes the latest Frankfurter observation relative to recent Frankfurter observations. It is not a forecast or a recommendation to transact.

Will a saved rate watch monitor rates when the website is closed?

No. This version checks saved targets only when the website is open, refreshed or revisited. It does not run a background server-monitoring service.

Where are my watches and saved plans stored?

They are stored locally in your browser on the device you used. Clearing browser site data will remove them.
